What?

This research project goes beyond the usual narrative of greenwashing as mere corporate deception.

We explore how power imbalances and distorted communication shape public understanding of climate politics.

We aim to reframe greenwashing as a systemic issue—one that hinders meaningful climate engagement and demands a new, critical lens.

We use green communication as a lens to explore how environmental messages intersect with market forces, economic interests, and political visions.

Our research uncovers the hidden ideologies that turn social change into a commodity, shaping not just green politics, but the broader narratives around sustainability.

Who?

We’re a team of political philosophers and historians of political thought based at the University of Genoa and the University of Eastern Piedmont.

Our work bridges theory and practice to rethink how environmental discourse shapes power, politics, and public life.

The project is funded through the PRIN 2022 PNRR Programme of the Italian Ministry of University and Research (grant number P2022ALLMW)
